As this year comes to a close...it has been an interesting year. It has been a moment (to say the least) since my last post....I am looking forward to the coming new year. I have made myself a promise to be more focused and patient in 2011. My wish for myself and all of my friends and family is a happy, healthy, prosperous and blessed new year.
I have found in my years as a Design Consultant when choosing a rug for your room it can be overwhelming for people. There are so many options, different qualities, designs and styles not to mention the vast differences in cost! Rugs are like art, they either speak to you or they don't. I have found a small assortment of rugs that are unique in color and style and also gives you and idea of the many ways you can go choosing a rug that is right for you.
I will be doing a future post on varying styles , price points and materials. There are so many variables as to why rug costs can be all over the board, I will break them down for you so as to get a better understanding of rug costs and to help you as a consumer make a informed decision about what you are purchasing and to be confident that you have made the right choice for your needs.
Every day I see the images of the devastation in Haiti, my thoughts and prays are with them. Just a reminder of how blessed we are and how each day that we are given is a gift to be cherished. I found these images on MSNBC...it was really amazing to me even among the ruins and devastation these images are beautiful and seem to draw me in like a well orchestrated work of art. Be well...Be blessed... Give thanks.
Funky and Fresh...a new twist on a very traditional French Stool...it was cast aluminum (it weighed a ton!) and was covered in this cool lime patent leather material. There were other colors available but this one caught my attention. Absolutely loved it!
The color and size of these old door drew me in. What a great entrance these will make...
I have always loved Antique and Flea markets. There is always something there you have to have. It is always fun to find some quirky or intriguing object. I was at Scott's Antiques in Atlanta and saw some really cool pieces......some great chairs... a beautifully upholstered french sette, and a fabulous pair of old doors that had a great finish. I took a few pictures but these were my faves!
These rooms really make a statement...I love the use of colors and textures and the blending of different styles that have come together to make these rooms personal and individual...while still maintaining a very strong sense of style.
